'New' 94 S4 -- The Learning Process Begins Anew

Gary was overjoyed in his new vehicle purchase enough to write:

I was lucky enough to snag a 6-volume set of the actual Audi repair manuals off CL, complete with handwritten technician's notes in the margin.  The 3-volume "public" paper versions pop up on the marketplace fairly regularly but you gotta be quick in most cases. They're fairly pricey too.

As has been suggested, there are vacuum switches @ the brake and clutch pedals.  I discovered while doing clutch hydraulics yesterday that the switch @ the clutch pedal was nowhere near making contact with the pedal, after having owned my 92 for 3 years w/non-functioning cruise.  I still haven't checked to see if it works now though!
