I use a large prybar, and a piece of wood. THe wood is so you don't
bend the firewall where the seal sits. Put the prying end of the
prybar into the small (about 2X2") piece of plastic that is screwed
into the side of the box on the left (drivers side in the US) and pry
upward. You are right, though, it's well glued into place!!
