All my Audis have been oil pigs in my opinion - that is, using a quart
in under 5k miles (of course, the newest is now old enough to drink
alcohol stateside). There may be reasons why the old 5-pot did so, but
still, a modern engine should not require the owner to dump a quart of
oil in at every other fuel-up.

That said, I gave my chubby truck it's tri-annual oil change (!) (I
swear, it only went a thousand miles!) and, um, not much came out.

Many years ago I had my coupe worked on next door at Carworks, where
part of any work is the "shop report", basically a quick check of fluids
and that sort of thing. 'Twas down 3 quarts. Still runs great.
