Locked Out

Sounds like the mechanical linkage inside the doors is broken/disconnected
as many of them are. You should be able to unlock the car with the key
manually with the physical linkage inside the door.
Nevertheless, you should probably be able to monkey around and pop the
hood... usually it's possible with a diagram and a flashlight and a coat
hanger and some patience to do so... and then you can hit the car with a
jump box on the jump start posts in the engine compartment.
If you can open the trunk manually with the key, I think it's also possible
to apply either vacuum or pressure to the central locking vacuum system to
pop the door locks.

Subject: Locked Out
Subject is a 1994 S4. I locked the vehicle with the remote and upon
returning home after a weeks absence I discovered that the remote wouldn't
unlock the doors. To my surprise I can't unlock the doors with the key. I'm
assuming that the battery is discharged but because the doors wopn't unlock
I can't access the battery to charge it. Any ideas on how to ge into the car
will be greatly appreciated. Gary Meier
