Max,

As Tony suggests, your system most likely has an added break in the
circuit which connects to a wire in the green connector behing the
instrument cluster to one front brake wear indicator wire to the
other side and then back to the green connector. The "usual repair"
is to just install a jumper across the pad connectors and this is
usually sufficient. If it doesn't solve the problem of a continually
lighted indicator then you need to go further back up the wires until
you can find the break and either repair it or by-pass it. The
ultimate "final solution" is to install a short jumper between the
two pins of the green connector and completely by-pass the whole
circuit. It is a fairly simple process:

1. pull the instrument cluster.
2. open up the green connector.
3. solder an ~1" jumper wire between two of the wires of the
green connector.
4. put it all back together again.

If you decide to go this route I will have to go into my green
connector to identify exactly which two wires to jumper. Let me know
if you want this information.
