Audi A8 full R n R

I'm actually doing this in a 10x20 garage. I had about 5ft of room in the
front and 3.5 feet on either side, enough to shimmy around the car and pull
the front end at the end of the garage. I then backed the car out into the
driveway sans front clip and am doing the rest on the ground with the car
on jackstands. I plan on using an engine hoist and engine dollies to get
it all out. Going to drop it nice and slow onto a few of those wooden
dollies you can get for moving furniture, then do the trans, crank seals,
valve covers, oil pan, and timing on the engine in the garage and throw it
all back in. I'm going to end up having to put the car in the garge
without the engine temporarily while I leave for work this Wednesday so I
can soure the catalytic converter and shields I need in the mean time.
I am using the writeup on a8parts.co.uk loosely, however its for a lhd
car. And he has a slightly different engine code. So far, the main
differences were the power steering/ac stuff, and the wiring harness. You
can actually remove the power steering pump from the engine, like 3 bolts,
and place it on the drivers frame rail and it clears the motor. The ac
compressor can also stay which is nice. Easy stuff.
Hey, if you want to make your parts car a little lighter, I'm shopping
around hard for a few things if you can help out. I donthave a working
version of etka anymore or I'd check myself, but I think the cats on a 97
and 99 would be the same.
Best of luck, I'm working on assembling photos for the procedure, amending
the european writeup for USA bound cars, and putting it on q world.
