I'm buying an A4!

The salesman at the dealership - told you they were going to phase out the
manual A4 sedan? He/she must have been just been speculating.

No diesel until the next A4 debuts - was to be 2015 but now might be 2016 -
and I'm willing to bet there will be no diesel+manual combo then. A3 TDI is
coming before we see the new A4, but we don't get the A3 manual at all.

My family may own a VW Sportwagen TDI someday for just this reason. I guess
VW doesn't care which brand under their aegis I buy from...
