Throw Out Bearing Kaput

Well, good that you will make it home. For me, this is a first - a throw out bearing perishing before a clutch.

In any event, once in there i would do all 3 components - pressure plate, disk and bearing. You might look around to see if there was a cause aside from age and use.

Sorry, that’s too old for me to help any longer.

It started whining and now has quite a bit of vibration just before the clutch pedal is back to the top. I think I might just make it. Only 190 miles of mostly freeway. Will try to minimize clutching tomorrow.
