Now, Serge, if this makes you feel any better, I once removed the half
shafts, the transmission, and the clutch disk in my wife's VW Fox which
was sinking the clutch pedal to the floor, only to find out that the car
ahd a cable clutch and that $20 cable broke several strands and
stretched a little. Oh, and it is replacible from the top in 15 minutes.
Man, was I pissed at myself! In my defence, I have never ever seen a
cable clutch before. Even my Ladas had hydraulic clutches.
