[s-cars] Hi Beam Light Switch Failing

1995 S6 Sedan

I have noticed that when I switch the lights to bright that they revert to
Low beams, even though the stalk is still in the forward  (bright) position.
I can "fiddle" with the stalk, switching back and forth and they might stay
on for a while but the slightest pressure turns the brights off. Any
Ideas???? Remove/Clean or just replace the stalk and is this a DIY project?
