[s-cars] Dust sleeve removal?

I had my local tire shop install my bilsteens and they left the boots
off.  They said they are not really needed as the shock shafts are
plated etc etc...
I think this is bull but they are offering a lifetime warrantee on the
shocks so?....
Im wondering if I should install some new boots regardless - It would be
nice for the next owner who wont have the warrantee.
Any thoughts?
