[s-cars] Dust sleeve removal?

And the dust boot has to be squashed between the top of the oversize shaft
and the underside of the spring retainer.  I prefer metal to metal so
nothing shifts under load.  Bilstein shows pictures of nice blue silicon
boots so I tried to get them and Bilstein recommended not to use any boots.
Said the springs would destroy the outer part of the bellows.  In fact most
OEM boots failed for this reason.  Their words, not mine.  So boots aren't
needed with Bilsteins according to the factory.

Dave - I think you are confusing it with the bump stop.  Bilsteins have an
internal bump stop and the factory one is not needed, and would not fit for
the same reasons you stated.
