In my opinion and not specifically knowing these engines, I think they use
water injection becase they are all dyno'ed to a certain max HP and the
teardown specs are recorded so you cant cheat with hardware, you can only
cheat and compete with SW - this can be hidden at post inspection. Since you
cant get more turbo and you are limited on gas, timing is the answer. Timing
causes heat and detonation and water injection is an effective way to keep
rules/hp limited cars competitive. Ever seen one of these cars run a rally?
do you think they are only running 300hp? Now I could certainly be mistaken
about the rules but I think the are limited by a max hp rule
