[s-cars] Tie Rod Ends

k guys,
I had the entire suspension changed, somewhat, on the S4. I am not sure or
not if I had told my mechanic to see if the tie rod ends needed to be
changed. My question is how would you know if they needed to be replaced? Is
there a specific thing to look for? What is the general road behavior of the
car when one or both of the ends need to be replaced? Thanks guys for your
help.
