Jim,
I have fabricated the adapter harnesses for the Audi female to the
Porsche male sensor connector out of some old pad sensor connectors and
the matching connector in the "Help" line of connectors at my local Pep
Boys.
Thus my setup was non-destructive.

As for your question, crimping the wires with some weatherproof (filled
with heatable glue) shrincable butt connectors would be the easiest
solution. Yes, they are expensive at $1/pair but I use those
_exclusively_ and I have yet to see a failed electrical connection that
I have added.
