There was a lot of confusion flying around when the last group purchase of
the Eibach USA 1529.140 springs was done in summer of '00. At the time the
springs were discontinued and we were able to have Eibach make one last
batch. What we initially received were the 1527.001 fronts and 1517.002
rears. It turned out these were the wrong springs and they were designed
for Euro market 100/A6 Avant, non-quattro, w/AC and automatic transmission.
In the end Eibach remanufactured the springs to the proper US part numbers
which were 1529.001 front and 1529.002 rear. So, it would appear that what
you ended up getting was the sets that we sent back.
