Dan,
When I changed my brake fluid I knocked the float loose in the brake fluid
reservior. It caused the brake light to stay on constantly. I tried and tried
to get the little plastic piece out but I finally gave up when it sank to the
bottom for the 50th time. Anyway once it was completely loose the brake light
went out. Something else you can check.

Well, tore apart the center console last night to try and figure out why the
brake light isn't coming off. It appears as if the switch is working
properly, and grounding. I hooked up the ground wire to the new switch and
manually depressed it with the car on... and, yep, the brake light still
stays on!
I get 30+ stops with the car off (bomb is fine), brake fluid and hydraulic
levels are good, I've closed the circut on all the sensors I could think of
and I'm at a loss. The brake light still stays on.
Any ideas on what else I'm overlooking?
I'm thinking it is a wiring issue (broken wire somewhere... any thoughts?
Later,
Dan
