I have have the same problem, though I have not gotten it fixed yet.
When I set the cruise the first time when out driving it usually sets
fine. If I have to brake for anything and then try to set the cruise
again, it will set and then slowly gain speed unitl I brake or use the
clutch pedal.. When you brake the cruise with the brake or clutch
pedal, it slows down very very slowly, not as fast as when you normally
just let off the gas when driving without cruise. If you hit resume it
practically floors it. When it starts to gain speed from being set and
then reset or floors it by using the resume button, turning off the
cruise switch does nothing. You have to hit the brake or clutch to stop it.
I haven't found a fix and am probably going to end up taking it in
eventually. Please let me know if you find the fix.
