[s-cars] Snow tire advice

Robert,
My inclination has always been to put them on the front but I've noticed
recently if you buy two new tires at a tire shop they will insist on putting
them on the back.  Their argument is that the driver shouldn't be given a
sense of  false security with tires on the front that are the most important
in handling and breaking being better than the rears.  If you had one good
pair and one bad pair I woul definitely put the good ones on the front - it
is then is a safety issue what with all the stress on the front tires - you
don't want a blowout in a panic stop and might need some handling in an
emergency.  My opinion.
