[s-cars] how much turbo "play" is acceptable?

Taking advantage of having the radiator out for a week +, I decided to pull
the turbo intake hose and have a grab at the turbo shaft. How much "play"
is within the acceptable range with a K24? Not being scientific (of
course), I've got 'some', enough that it's more than just 'feel', but I can
'see' it. Good news is I couldn't 'hear' it clack up and down or anything.
Now, is this a sign of forthcoming FUBAR, or is this within reason? <insert
sound of can'o'worms opening>

Just curious more than anything. Car runs / sounds fine otherwise.

Oh, FWIW to those wondering about radiator jobs, it's a real easy job, even
for me... just a matter of yanking a bunch of things and reassembling.
$175 or so from good 'ole Chris S. @ Force 5, sure beat $390 @ Stealer.
Easy job, assuming you don't have a split in the top hose once you
reassemble (d'oh) and then FedEx fails to arrive with your new hose, or you
don't shear the frozen bolts that go through the radiator rubber mounts
(yay)...

TIA.
