My parts guy has 3 Ecru and 3 platinum in stock, under $20 each IIRC.
Anyone interested, contact me off list.

I guess I'll have to talk to one of the Materials Engineers at work that
specializes in adhesives and see what kind of concoctions he has lying
around. One of the adhesives we use we affectionally refer to as "blue
goo"
and is quite tenacious stuff and does well in high temperatures. It's a
Hysol product but I forget the number. I think one of the keys is to
put a
bead of the adhesive under the clip as well so that the clip ends up
being
in the adhesive and not under it. As long as it adheres well to the
plastic
cover it should be fine. And the key to any adhesive is good surface
preparation. Make sure all greases/oils are removed from the bonding
surface. Wipe down with IPA and don't touch with your fingers.
