I've developed an odd squeak that I initially thought was the release
bearing.  Bob P. and Darin thanks for your help.  I stopped by my local Audi
grease monkey and after taking my car for a spin, he thought that it was the
"central bearing"  apparently drive shaft related.  The reason he thinks
it's this is because when I'm idling, there is no squeak with either clutch
engaged or disengaged.  He says if it was the release bearing, the squeak
would be quite obvious even with the car idling.  My squeak seems to occur
when I'm engine braking  with no throttle at all.  As soon as I apply any
throttle, the sound disappears.

Any thoughts as to my problem?  Darin and Bob, feel free to weigh in again.
