Mine didn't look very nice when I got it out, but it wasn't that bad. As
I mentioned, I had to use the screw method about 8-10 places to remove
it. I guess a glued seal would be bad to remove, but remember to nick
the edges of the aluminum housing a bit to stop the seal if you don't
use glue yourself. Loose seals are not good for either you or the
engine..
My last tip would be to use a Dremel to cut through _just_ the metal of
the seal, with a small stone or something. (should be easy.)
Btw, there's no need to use daylight to do this, any sufficient lighting
will do the trick.. ;o)
