Mihnea:  I wasn't suggesting that your information about a "middle aged
woman" with 10 seats exhaust valve spring seats was a fabrication.  What
I was trying to say was I thought it had to be a very rare occurence
based on a screw up at the factory/head assembly subcontractor (or
whatever) and nothing to do with chip sets or turbos.

In the rest of the post what I said was you are probably right - the RS2
EM is not an absolute necessity, IF you are willing to up the risk of
valve damage/cracked head while you own the car.  (I have received other
emails that suggest that damage does occur without it - but only after
about 50,000 miles).

Sorry to p*ss you off.  It wasn't my intent.  Gathering information was.
