What headunit are you using?
Matt Moly <urs6_20valve at yahoo.com> wrote:As I'm sure everyone has figured out by now, I am
total re doing my entire sound system in the S6. I am
now concerned about how to wire everything (amps, and
head unit) so that it isn't on all the time, since the
stock wiring has the head unit wired directly to the
battery so it can always be turned on (when car is
off). That isn't a bad thing nessicarily (I have
actually grown to like having to turn it on and off
separately from the car), but if the amps were wired
like that they would continually drain the battery. Is
there a way to wire the ignition lead from the amps to
the head unit so that they are only on when the head
unit is on, or is there an easy way to just tap into a
true ignition on lead so that everything only works
when the car is running. Either method would be fine,
I just can't have my amps draining the battery ever
minute the car isn't running. Thanks.
