Hopefully not.  To replace the CV boot, the axle comes out of the hub.  When
you do this, you should remove the ABS sensor from the hub (it's just press
fit in).  If you didn't do this, you might have damaged the sensor tip, but I
doubt it.  This sounds like you need to just push the sensor back in a bit.
