The rationale on the smaller turbine was to maximize exhaust velocity across
the turbine section. It does not give a quicker spool. I am at full boost at
3400 rpm. The wastegate float would be reduced and the boost threshold
lowered
with a larger turbine section and outlet. I may try this when I go to a
different exhaust manifold. From my hp/torque curves I am at max torque at
4600 rpm
and a gradual taper from there to redline and 360 hp at the same 4600 rpm
with
a gradual climb to 402.4 at 6100 rpm.
