Pauly,

 This is very interesting. May be more to the e-brake theory than meets the eye. Since your e-brake is not great and you use it a lot are you yanking the crap out of it? I've noticed that after parking in a steep driveway where I have to pull the e-brake really hard the pedal seems firmer. I also have the 993tt calipers up front and they do certainly take the pedal feel to another level.
