You can replace just the glass- I've done that, was about $90
each from the local dealer.

Hey everyone. On my 95.5 S6, both of the side view mirrors are about
half-delaminated. On both of them, part of the mirror is a big ugly
brown splotch. Consequently, they will not pass state inspection. What
can I do in this case? Do I have to purchase complete mirror assemblies
or will a cheaper solution suffice? Thanks,
