Thomas,

I had one blow out on me on my '87 5kcstq once and since then, every Audi
I've owned, I flush the coolant and replace the expansion take (whether or
not it needs it).  Good idea to do this if yours is getting old, hard to see
the coolant and generally getting brittle.

Rod at TPC has new ones, and I think they are around $35.  Why f&$#* around.
Just get a new one from Rod or your local stealer and have the insurance
policy of not having a major meltdown in the middle of knowhere (BTDT).
