Ron,
If you can look to see where the clutch pedal attaches to the master cylinder (or shall I say where it used to attach to the MC) there is a longish screw thread that attaches the MC to the clutch pedal.  
You need a new clutch master cylinder..  this is something you can prolly do yourself if you are mechanically inclined and have a warm garage, have a helper and a Motive pressure bleeder.  
Stealer may well want to change MC , clave cylinder and the hose too.  I would just do the MC.  You can also drive the car to get it serviced if you have to.. Start in first then power shift.etc..
Search archives too as this is a quite common failure.

Has anyone had a clutch cable failure?  Is this a possibility?  My clutch 
pedal just gave way and stuck to the floor.  I have had no prior issues with 
slipping or mushy pedal feel.

Any and all insight greatly appreciated.
