Totally awesome and right on post, Paul. Yup, Mihnea, and yourself for
hosting,
are the men. Met up with him a Phil Mische's yesterday only to learn of
the Mobil
vs. Shell debacle, which we didn't learn about until after I left (in the
late AM,
sorry Paul and Mihnea) Saturday. Turns out my car exhibited some of those
symptoms, but it appears to be clearing as the ECU learns about Mobil
gas.
I will be trying Shell or more likely Sunoco (it's actually availible
here) as soon
as my tank gets to a 1/4. Anyway, after meeting up at Phils, I took
Mihnea
down to JFK for his departure (for now) from the USofA. The run to NY
wasn't
too bad until we got to within 3 miles of JFK. Bumper to bumper for 25
minutes
on the Van Wyck Express(?)way, to arrive at the terminal at 6:15 for a
7:55 flight.
(If you haven't flied lately, they want at LEAST 2 hrs before for check
in nowadays).
Mihnea went in to attempt to change his flight until today (Tuesday), but
no one at
the Delta counter seemed willing (or able) to help him, so ultimately he
just went for
it at 6:30 PM, which is the last I heard from him. I assume he made his
flight (security
at the terminal seemed to think he'd be fine), hope to hear from him. On
the drive
down to JFK, I did learn of the fuel issue, a few other things, and
mostly that, yup,
he's most definitely, one of "us". All in all, a great time, looking
forwards to seeing
Mihnea (now hopefully being able to totally relax) and all others at
S-Fest next month!
