[s-cars] Carbon fouled plugs (Was: Spark Plug Torque)

Thanks very much to everyone who provided advice on R&R of the air filter.
I will certainly replace this as soon as a new one can be obtained from my
local import parts store.

I am guessing that I must be on the right track with regard to the carbon
fouling of my plugs, since I didn't get any replies saying that I was
completely offbase! ;-) Also, I'll take a look at the crossover pipe
(thanks, Serge!) to see if this is leaking.

Beyond that, I am in the same mode as a few others on the list...done
plugs, waiting for new wires and one new coil to install and move around
until I find my gremlins.

I'll add my voice to the chorus of others who have commented on how great
this email list is. I've learned more about my lovely, fast, finicky,
frustrating car in the last 90 days than I have about any other car I've
ever owned. The only list that's anywhere near as good as this one is the
one for supercharged Miatas. Or did I forget to mention that I am on
multiple slippery slopes at the same time?

Marc

Waiting for spring to take hold in Michigan so I can switch garage queens...
