calvin,

no question that the camaro has a lot of potential, and it comes with
a better chassis than the mustang.

however, you can't put a blower in it and have a reliable car for
$3k. you need fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and
tuning, or you'll be replacing headgaskets before long. camaros are
hard to work on because half of the engine is under the windshield.
it gives them better weight distribution but also makes them hard to
work on. how long does it take to change the sparkplugs?

the blown mustang cobra has a factory-developed package that comes with
a full factory warranty and a bottom end built for the supercharger.
my friend at ford worked on the development of the supercharged motor.
390 hp is a conservative rating. and if that tune isn't enough for you,
switch to a smaller pulley for the blower. the shortblock is capable of
a lot more. ford detuned it for mileage and warranty purposes.

i definitely like the corvette. i drove a mustang GT, camaro Z28, and
corvette C5 on an autox course back to back. the camaro has good handling,
better than the mustang, but the corvette blows both of them away.

but in a straight line, a blown mustang cobra will easily pull away from
both cars.

it all depends on what you're looking for. i'd go for a brand new evo
for $27k, if a barely used one is $25k.
