I had my '91 200 tranny done by German Transaxle in Oregon. It was worked
out through my mechanic here in CO. The tranny seemed to work fine until I
sold the car.

Subject: [s-cars] Tranny rebuild?

Hi guys,

Please forgive me if that has been beaten to death, but where can I get my
93
5-speed (I think CBL) rebuilt with the 95.5 hardened gears? I can probably
get
a B5 S4 DSY for about $1000 used, but I'd like to have my 93's 5-speed
rebuilt.

A lot of you will tell me that getting a 6-speed is well worth it, but if I
can
get my 5-speed rebuilt for cheaper, I want to do that. I understand that
these
tranny's are supposed to be sealed for life, but I've also read that they
can
be rebuilt.

Any info would be aprpeciated.

Thanks,
Paul
