[s-cars] Re: Exhaust dyno results...

I am wondering if this is where this experiment went wrong. The
advantage of having lower back pressure, lower restriction on the turbo,
lower egt's allowing more efficiency on the turbo, lower back pressure
or pressure ratio in the header and inlet. All of these wonderful
things I think would really need tuning to get more hp. I know that
Mihnea and I tuned my car without a stromung and then with. We got
lower egt's with and had to re-do the programming to get the hp that was
there for the taking. When I went from stromung optimized tuning back
to stock exhaust I lost a bunch of boost. I think this shows that you
might be able to get nearly the same hp, but it will be much less
efficient.

Or I could be completely wrong.

But then the car will not be programmed for having that type of
exhaust flow. Would that not make the results invalid?

Shouldn't the ECU be remapped after every change to be fair? Wouldn't
this be like dynoing with two different turbos on the same car, set up
only to operate correctly on the first turbo?
