I've got a ticking noise that is related to load and rpm. Just rpm won't
produce the tick, it has to be under load (or deceleration) above 3000rpm.
Oil temp has no effect.  I think it is a valve spring problem.

The load requirement in producing the ticking makes it very difficult to
have confidence in my diagnosis as I can only produce the tick while
driving. 2nd opinions?

Before I give in and take it to my mechanic (a good one though), can the
valve springs be replaced with the head on?
