You could also check the resistance of the air temp and coolant temp
sensors to make sure they are in range. Sjm autotechnik has graphs of
temp & resistance that you can compare to. Make sure the ECU knows what
temps it is dealing with, and it's free if you have a multimeter.

I am only averaging between 260-270 miles per fill up of about 16
gallons. 
My commute going to and from work is pretty much a crawl for about 45 
minutes or more. I'm thinking that's where the problem is. The car
hardly 
get to see 4th gear on the freeway but I used to see higher numbers than

that a while back. I wonder where the culprit is. Oxygen sensor maybe?
But 
that was replaced by the PO a year or two ago. hmmm..

Other than that, the car is running strong. Suggestions?
