All the urS-cars will benefit from the Torsen rear diff, as none had them
from the factory. I remember someone (sorry) posting that the best
combination, in terms of traction, is the rear torsen with 95.5 and later
EDL. I believe this has to do with the EDL kicking in on demand as opposed
to the manual diff lock. Therefore, the 95.5 and later //S6 with EDL and
Torsen has the best traction characteristics among the urS-cars. I can not
speak to other models. Anyone else?

Is this true for both the Pre-95.5 cars with the locking diff feature
and the post 95.5 cars with the quattro IV with EDL system?
I had thought at some point in the past the torsen showed more benefit
in the post 95.5 cars than in the earlier ones? Of course it's
possible I'm thinking of somehting else, too.
