[s-cars] Weather related double whammy

Is you battery under the hood or are you trying to get to the jumper post?
If the avant battery is elsewhere I would replace it and get the car nice
and warm.  Your hood may be frozen shut hence the no pop.  Sorry no BTDT if
in fact your hood release cable has given up the ghost.  Only thing of
consequence WRT dead/replacement batteries is recoding the radio.

Well here in the PacNW weve recieved a blast of Cold
that has sent less hardy sould scurrying indoors. Have
had no real problems up till today. After scraping the
off Ice off of the 95 S6 Avant ...No Start. Dead
Battery. Not yet being fully consious and confusing
which car I was driving I reach down and attempt to
pop the Hood ...2nd Whammy, the hood release dosnt pop
the Hood! So Ist Q: related to the battery other than
the Radio codes, is there anything I need to be
concerned about related to replacing the battery? Will
the CPU run home to mommy, and be stuck with Limp mode
till some event? 2nd and more concerning how do I get
into eng. compartment? Im guessing that my handy work
when replaceing the S-belt a few months back wasnt so
handy! But the hood release was operational for
multiple uses subsequent to that? I looked in the
Archives for tips, plenty on dead battereys but none
on opening the hood?
