Alex SSK'd:

<<<Frankly, even with the Apikol, the
shifter is still pretty crappy as compared with other
cars I've had the pleasure of piloting. It (the
shifter) just doesn't reward the way a fun car to
drive should.
That's my $.02.

Best,

I defer to my previous msg. on the matter... it's all in the weighting,
it's all in the weighting.

Doesn't hurt having a rebuilt gearbox, sure, and the Redline MT90 helps as
well, but my shifter is now *verrrrry* pleasurable, this compared to the
ohsomany other cars of 'interest' I've had the greatfortune of piloting.
Sure maybe the direct input snick on the '63 250GTL was better but hey the
bucshot solution can't work miracles... it *is* tho faaaaaaaaar better than
on say the Testarossa 8-). I'd put the feel of mine now up there on par of
that in the e46 ///M3, certainly.

Could stand to be shorter, sure, and adding this new SSK solution to my
current one is appealing (but likely not happening for like 18 years).

Man, if Cody's right and his wrench did one in ten minutes... I'd suggest
everyone SSK or not out there yank theirs and lead it.

-Paul shifters are such a primary source of a car's sensory input it's
rewarding and worth it to have them 'right' K.
