[s-cars] Another Elec Problem - Warning Light Panel - Crazy Patterns!

Hi again folks,
 
Still working on the problem with the coolant light, but it reminded of
another annoying problem on my '92 S4. The warning light panel itself
intermittently displays correctly and at other times produces random
patterns of output that pretty much doesn't look like anything. At first I
thought it was related to the radio when displaying AM/FM info, but the
problem occurs whether the radio is on or not.
 
Any ideas?
