Well, we need a Trevor Frank in here to set-up a test bench to see if the 
coils exhibit any kinda of difference. Or maybe I should buy 5 and do back 
to backs on the dyno next time I am in.

Who knows, may be good for 50 HP.

Chris:  From pg. 3/9 of an later 1.8t Audi B5 wiring diagram (and a 41/4 of 
a later Jetta IV 1.8t Bentley), my interpretation of the pinouts are:

1 = hot to primary coil
2 = secondary coil ground
3 = hot signal from the ECU to the POS
4 = POS ground

Now if it wasn't for that nagging "dwell" issue suggested by Mark S., this 
looks like a winner to me.  (Sounds too good to be true - replace all the 
coils and the POS for a fraction of the cost of going with old style OEM 
parts).

Hey.  Progress!! (except for those nasty Bremi recalls -which I am sure 
won't happen again).
