[s-cars] Is it "da bomb?"

S-Hedz,

My brake light (the one directly over the outside temp display) has
been taking longer and longer to go out.  Tonight, it stayed on for a
VERY long time and my brake pedal transmitted ABS-like thrumming when
pressed.

Whilst driving the daughter around to her various appointments, the
light finally went out after about 20 minutes of hiway travel.  While
parked with the engine off, I got 33 pumps of the brake before it went
hard.  Upon starting the engine (in neutral w parking brake off), the
pedal would start off hard and then shudder down to about half the
travel distance before stopping.  I played with it for a while like
that with the engine running without having the light go out.  Finally
turned the engine off and read a book while waiting for the princess.

When she finally appeared, started up and took off.  No brake light showing.

So, what's the consensus?  Is a bomb replacement immanent?  Oh, one
other item of information.  At one of the intermediate stops while the
brake light was still on, I popped the hood while the engine was
running.  The G002000 receptical was full and over the FULL mark.  In
otherwords, it looked as though the fluid was not being pumped back
into the system.  Forgot to repeat the experiment once the light had
gone out.  DOH!
