I had this happen to me with my avant. The rod on the clutch pedal master cylinder snapped. Clutch pedal stayed on floor. I pulled the knee panel and looked up near steering wheel. You will see the rod linkage. Welded it back together and it lasted over two years, and still is holding with new owner. It is an easy repair. Pull out cylinder. Clamp off brake line first and catch fluid. Weld or replace cylinder. Connect linkage. Bleed line at slave cylinder. Off you go.
You can still drive car sychromesh like....I did. If you have to stop car, you'll have to let it stall. You can start car in first gear a couple time to get you back under way. Once under way, shift around 2500 rpms with no clutch..presto
Good luck!!!

Kevin Quiros just called me from the roadside in Stamford, CT with a
clutch pedal to floor. Any suggested indy shops in that vicinity I can
call him back with ASAP to get towed to?
Please advise, thanks.
Also, what's best way to figure out if it was the master or slave that
failed? If it was the pedal linkage snapping, can one see that if they
crawl under there?
TIA.
