I had this problem on my 92 100CSq. It was a Blaupunkt changer with
the factory shroud around it. The changer would not respond to the
eject button. A neighbor who worked at a stereo shop found a silver
control box near the changer and popped it open. The fuse inside the
box was blown. It's been a while since he fixed it but I believe the
changer and the silver box are two separate units.
Another important note is that my car was jumpstarted previous to the
changer problem.
