Agreed, my S4 is by far the most comfortable car i've owned. Even my wifes 
new Allroad doesn't have the same feel. However, I feel we are judging 
Audi's that are a different breed that the run of the mill A6/A4 etc. The 
trick is to take both manufacturers as a whole and compare differences. All 
companies are going to have their lemon cars within a particular model range 
or even time frame. Just look at the current state of the early 90's V8q's. 
Fact is, subaru is a worthy competitor in the AWD vehicle market, for their 
current price range. It will be interesting to see if the new A3 takes a 
bite out of their sales. But Audi is in a class by itself when it comes to 
stepping up.
