"Hey Bill:
I have the Sony HCB 30 Bluetooth install kit ready to go myself. I've heard
that the final result might not be as good as buying a current model kit
made by your phone manufacturer, as certain 'soft functions' might not be
supported. I can't give a concrete example - so I'll guess it might be
something such as voice activated calling, or access to menu items.
What make of handset are you using? What functionality are you using? Any
experienced listers have input here? I need a new phone and was planning on
something from VZW's Bluetooth-enabled collection."
I have the HCB30 now in both the A8 and S6 and it functions fine with a Moto
Razr and my soney Ericsson t616 I think it is (both with cingular svc.) I
can voice dial but only names in my address book and it would prolly help to
record them via the HCB30 whilst sitting in the car to simulate normal car
backround noise.
It may do individual number dialing but I haven't even checked that.
I liked the hcb 30 cuz it is small, simple and has only a on/off hook button
and a volume button. Wish it glowed red instead of blue;)
IME Bluetooth should be Bluetooth but always read the small print.
