Qheads,
Anyone have the procedure to R&R the CV boots. I saw in a search a
procedure to run the CV bolt back
Into the CV joint to press the CV off of the shaft. Is there a retaining
clip of some sort?

Anyway, went to change out the shocks and springs to Bilstein and Eibach
and found a torn CV boot
right off the bat. Got everything sufficiently torn apart and wanted to
investigate a suspension squeak I have been
hearing. The outer control arm lower ball joint is trashed on the
drivers side and pretty well gone on the pass side
as well. As things progressed from bad to worse I figure how much worse
can it get. Well I cannot get the pass
side control arm bolt out. It is seized and just turns in the rubber
mount. For fear of twisting the rubber mount off inside frame I soak it
down with PB Blaster and let it sit overnight. Then the next day I go at
it with 3ft. cheater bar. Well the bolt breaks off up inside the rubber
subframe mount. So now I proceed to drop the subframe enough to
get the mount out. What a PITA. I eventually get the mount out and am
in the process of ordering new parts.

Anyone know a good (read cheap) source for front control arms. Blau has
them on sale for $88 and change.
