Bruce asked:
....from Calgary (in Canada I think....hahaha) to Pennsylvania, other than it's going to be friggin' expensive? Like whom to use, any customs red tape, etc?
Should I have the car driven through border to states and then ship it? I'm in the dark....car is an old W126 Mercedes 560SEL.
Hi Bruce,
I had my car shipped from Montreal to Regina, went to the local Audi dealer ( in your case Mercedes, tell them you are looking for place to service this baby) and asked if they would arrange using thier resources and I would pay.... they did that and saved me 200+ dollars, naturally they get a better rate on transport. Total mileage Montreal to Regina was approx. 2600+ km's, approx. distance Calgary to Pennsylvania: 3500 km's. Your car will likely travel by a combination of truck & rail, total time would likely be 10-15 days....or more depending on if your car looked like it was a threat to homeland security!!! Ford Pinto's have a hell of a time getting in!!
Good luck, if you are lucky, it may come with it's own Cowgirl !!! .... you guys do know the Calgary Stampede Cowgirl theme song ??( sung to the Bonanza theme) " Get up, get it in, get it out, don't mess up my hairdoooo"
